FACTS About Us
More than 180 students, ages 6-18, currently study at Atanian Art Center
Over 2500 students have studied at Atanian Art Center within the past 20 years
More than 200 graduates now continue their education at some of the best art colleges and universities in the US
Out of 200 graduates 86 continue their professional carrier in the fields of art
The classes are taught according to 3 programs:
A. Basic art classes, for students 6-10 years old
B. General art education, for students 11-18 years old
C. Pre-college preparation, for students of 14 years and up
Since the foundation of Atanian Art Center the students have participated in more than 180 different exhibitions in the United States, Armenia, Artsakh and other countries such as Romania, Russia, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Guatemala and many more through the World Awareness Children’s Museum International Youth Art Exchange Program.
The students were awarded with more than 320 diploma’s, awards, and honorable mentions
More than 60 articles were published about Atanian Art Center in Armenian and American Periodicals
2000 a Certificate of Recognition was presented to Atanian Art Center by California State Senate & Assembly
2003 a Mayors Commendation was presented to Atanian Art Center by City of Glendale Mayor, Frank Quintero
2008 a Mayors Commendation was presented to Atanian Art Center by City of Glendale Mayor, Ara Najarian
2005 The Team of Atanian Art Center consisting of Vladimir Atanian, Armen Kazanchyan, Artak Atanyan and Gor Atanian was awarded with Exemplary Achievement for Artistic Excellence in Creation of “Colorama” at the Pacific Community Center in Glendale
The activities of the Center were broadcasted on Armenian television stations of Los Angeles and Yerevan, Armenia
2007 Vladimir Atanian has received a Diamond Lifetime Achievement Award in the arts
The Center has organized special meetings with famous Armenian and American artists, writers, and influential people
2010 Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from member of congress United States of America, Adam Schiff
2010 Commendation of County of Los Angeles supervisor Michael D. Antonovich
